Vaquero Dan, Wyoming Schoolmarm and Whistle Stop Jim all dressed in their red, white & blue.  Lookin' good!
Lone Stranger also got into the theme of the day with his flag shirt.
When Alley Opp wasn't picking up brass, she worked the loading table.  What a hard workin' cowgirl!
Big Whiskey worked the unloading table with the added benefit of being able to sit in the shade.  Glad you joined us this month, Whiskey!
Bad Aim Barbi, being timed by Deacon Will, proudly displays her "P".
Side Saddle Sue and Sundown Charlie.  Hey Charlie - where'd your lip go????
Cuss'n Kate at the unloading table.
Look at the intensity on Shogun's face!  Yikes!!
Delaware Coop, Cactus Whiskey and Whistle Stop Jim ready to pick up brass and reset targets when the shooter is done.  It was a good, hardworking posse!
Alley Opp Annie shooting her rifle, timed by Red Eye Kid
Delaware Coop at the Ruffner's Saloon stage.

Mild Bill, timed by Hand Cannon.  Mild Bill is a regular at the Renegades and we sure do enjoy having him!

Eas'dern Shore Renegades

DELAWARE JIM

7/18/1951 - 7/27/2010

Rest in Peace, Pard

COWBOY OF THE YEAR

Slash 8 with his nephew and his wife and their son, Brady. Earl can always be found sharing his love of cowboy shooting with someone!

SLASH 8

Slash 8 has been our Match Director for the past 5 years.  Without Slash 8, and his ol' buddy Too Dang Frank, there wouldn't be an Eas'dern Shore Renegades.  At the first match 5 years ago, they started with just 9 shooters.  Most matches today have anywhere from 50-60 shooters.  That kind of growth only comes from good leadership!  Saturday, December 5, 2009, Slash 8 Retired as the Match Director.  Along with running the matches, he did all of the scoring, web work and always gave lots of recognition to all shooters and helpers.  He has helped many new shooters get started by lending equipment and providing ammunition, not to mention instruction and encouragement.  Slash 8 has made many new targets at his home, both alone and with the help of his pards.  There aren't words to thank someone who has done so much for so many.  We'll just settle for a heartfelt THANK YOU, SLASH 8!!

The targets were painted in the theme of the day.  Thanks to Delaware Coop for his excellent painting of the targets once again!
Patriotism was evident on gun carts . . .

and on ribbons that were worn.

Wild Wiz ~ Now is THIS a face you'd trust?  Ha!!

Together, Delaware Coop and Cactus Whiskey make a good red, white and blue display.  (Looks like we have a bit of a drinking contest in the background!)

Boy oh boy, what a line up this crew makes!  Warhorse, you're looking entirely too intent! L-R:  Curly, Wicklow Wrangler, Bad Aim Barbi, Mad Dawg Bill and Warhorse.
The Chuckwagon Crew!  Barb Ruffner, Em Miller and Betty Brooks put on the best lunches every month!  Each month they prepare a new menu.  We never know what they're going to feed us but we do know that it will be excellent and plentiful!  Thanks so much for your hard work!!

During the safety briefing it is important to be quiet and listen.  If you don't, Red Eyed Kid will take care of you!

Dusty Sawyer and Shogun joined us today.  We really enjoyed having them for a little friendly brotherly competition!

Slash 8 started the Shooters' meeting with a scripture reading,

2 Chronicles 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Very appropriate for the birthday of our Country.  Slash 8 then offered a prayer to start our match.

Hand Cannon and Vaquero Dan take a moment to pose!
